Case 5: Criminal Damage to Property (FVA) PDF Print E-mail
This client, who had never been arrested before, was charged with criminal damage to property after he allegedly followed his wife and blocked her car on a back country road with his car. He then allegedly started to attack her car shattering her front windshield when she drove off to her mom’s home and called police.

My client admitted to following his wife because he confronted her about cheating and when she wouldn’t talk to him he demanded their kids, but she refused. He did stop her vehicle and got out of the car to get the kids, but she floored her vehicle, hitting my client. His body landed on the hood and his head and hands landed on the windshield. Because my client was close to 300 pounds the force cracked the windshield. He went to her mom’s house to get his kids and confront her about running him over. After trial jury found him not guilty in less than an hour.
